I had to do the long detailed lesson plans when I was ST. I encountered a student teacher like the one you have. She was not quite as bad as the one you have. She did not make it through the program. She was in my class for 3 weeks (preschool) She observed the first few days then took over several aspects of the day-it is a 4 hr program. She was constantly late and did not turn in her lesson. I would not let her teach. She called her advisor and was told the same thing. She did eventually not graduate from the program. I would definetely take her phone away-that is so disrespectful
