multiage/looping

I loved teaching my multiage 3/4 last year. Unfortunately my school decided to do away with the program due toi budget cuts.
Hopefully next year we can get it going again.
I love looping with half of the class and I thoroughly enjoyed knowing the children from day 1. They can help with routines the following year to introduce the new third graders.

I felt the most challenging part of the whole thing was differentiating to meet the needs of all students. Also knowing what to cover in SS and Science was tough because the curricula are so different in both grades. I managed to switch off units of study so kids wouldn't miss out on any info.
