small vs. big
By Sharon

Clip to ScrapBook
I have never taught in a small school, but I was born and raised in a small town. What I like is that everyone knows each other. They watch out for each other.

I teach in the fifth largest district in the nation. The schools are litterally and figuratively busting at the seams! The school I mainly work at has 2500 students! Thousands of kids fall through the cracks every year. Text books are a luxury in many of these schools. Some schools are so over crowded that there are 75 students in one class!

I would love the chance to work in a small school, but that is not an option over here.
Sharon
