Small schools vs. large schools...

I have only every taught in a small school in a small rural town. It does have its pros: small class sizes, ect. However, teaching in a small town, I feel, is pretty horrible at times. People talk about how close the teachers are...and that can be true...but at our school, the cliques are outragous!!! The pettyness is horrible. One of our teachers was fired for dating someone that the principal didn't like (he was not an employee of the school district...he owns a successfull car dealership, and because the principal didn't like him...she was let go). Small towns can be horrible, vendictive places at times...not that they don't have their good points. I am almost ready for a bigger school district!!!
