falling grades
By Jalon

Clip to ScrapBook
Our district encourages parents to use the "Students 1st" online system to access grades, that way they can keep track of all graded assignments and the average of their child. We probably get grades posted within 2 days of the due date. We also send home mid-quarter progress reports and Friday Folders weekly with all graded papers. A form inside the Fri. Folder is to be signed by parents, which is to indicate parents actually saw what was in there (and we know some of them don't). With that much grade communication/availability, I don't notify a parent of a grade level drop.
