I too stop to add something on a chart when dealing with a minilesson on a comprehension strategy.

I asked the question because Debbie Miller's Reading for Meaning mentions that during a strategy lesson she wrote the students' comments in a notebook and then later on she wrote it up on chart paper and reviewed it with the class the next day. Aside from the title of my charts I pretty much make my charts with my students while I am during a minilesson on a strategy. I didn't understand why she waited later to do it. I need to go back and reread that chapter ; maybe I misinterpreted something.
