F & P assessment
By EMO109

Clip to ScrapBook
I'm using the F & P assessment this year. My district never had any assessment tools for us to use, so this is the only one I have experience using.

I do like this program. It seems pretty comprehensive -- each level
has a fiction & non-fiction text and the comprehension questions offer a good range of literal and inferring questions. It also includes several additional assessments, if you need to better pinpoint strengths/weaknesses. The kit comes with a computer program to track students' progress, as well as a training DVD.

The downside is definitely the amount of time it takes. I
would estimate that it took me 20 minutes per student (keep in mind, this was my first time using any assessment, so it may take less time for someone more familiar with it).
