Clip to ScrapBook
We used Heinemann Worldscapes. We have to do Mexcio, and they have a series of paperback books with a printed guide sheet. The books include nonfiction, a biography, and a folktale. We have a class set of each, and the kids love them. I'm not sure if they're available for Canada because we don't teach that country. For map skills, we use Steck-Vaughn, and have been very satisfied with that series. Our curriculum doesn't include the US regions either, but I would check out Heinemann to see if there's something comparable. We have books for science from them also, and they've also been great.
