Pacing/curriculum guides
By Rancher

Clip to ScrapBook
We've been using pacing guides about 7 or 8 years in our district. They are set up so we've taught all of our objectives before our state testing. (April 1st) Now until the end of the year it's open for projects, special units, literature circles, etc. I find that at the end of the year I miss not having specific objectives to teach. Another big bonus of our pacing calendar is we have 8 elementary schools in our district. So when a child moves in the middle of the year to another school in our district he'll be in the same "spot" as your class. That makes it really great because you know what this child has been taught before he/she started in your class.
