My last district hired early. (Urban district with a high turnover) The two neighboring suburban districts don't hire until late. (I know several teachers who were hired after school started at one of these districts.)

This year I'm working at a private school. I know they hired a teacher last week for next year and they have been interviewing for at least a month.
