It is tricky

Clip to ScrapBook
I have been trying to find the just right methods of organization for the past three years (I am a 3rd year teacher.) I love containers and labels and things like that, so I am motivated but can't seem to commit to one method.
My downfalls are:
I love finding things on the internet to use in my room, but it means I end up with a lot of copies and sometimes they don't fit into the files that I currently have, so they sit out and then I forget about them

I definitely don't abide by the "one touch" rule, thus ending up with more piles of stuff to deal with

I haven't figured out an organized
way to deal with all of the random paperwork we get at school from workshops, staff meetings, etc.

Anyways...here are some things that I have found and love...
in my large teacher cabinets (I have two) I use the rubbermaid small 3 drawer organizers- I can fit 3 organizers on a shelf, giving me 9 drawers for each shelf. This way I can separate a lot of my copies more specifically and label them which makes it very easy for me to see what is in each drawer and if I need to make more copies

I have transferred all of my files into sheet protectors and then into binders divided by the months of the year. Not only can I easily see what I need to copy each month, but the sheet protectors also allow me to store examples that I have already made up and nothing is falling out! I figured I can use my filing cabinet for storing something else :o Sorry for going on so long...but I love talking and discussing organization!
