re-configuration

My district is looking at the opposite, but the same questions you have will apply to us in 2011. We have 3 elementary buildings which are PK-1, 2-3 (my building), and 4-5. The plan is to build a primary center for PK-1, and the 3 existing elementary buildings will become 2-6. I imagine the staff will be able to prioritize whether they want to stay within the same building, or stay at the grade level. I would say there will be meetings before school begins after the re-configuration, with a purpose to build community within the new staff.
