Clip to ScrapBook
1. my 6th graders are reading buddies with first graders--we have a "picnic" at the park just behind our school. we bring sack lunches and after we eat play a couple games, play with the parachute and go in after about
1.5 hours.

2. our 6th graders have an all-day field trip--we walk 1 mile to another park, rotate through "curricular" and non-curric. stations (lip sync, skit, science, math, phsyical activities, communication...) have sack lunches, perform the skits and lip syncs and walk back to school, exhausted!

3. our 6th graders have a promotion ceremony--the kids vote on speakers
from the different classrooms--they write and share a speech, we give each kid a personality award (from silly things they did during the year--or character traits), we show a DVD of pictures taken from throughout the year, we have cake and punch get and start signing yearbooks, and then parents take a bunch of pictures and we clean up and go home. (this is 2 days before end of year)
