You are definitely a candidate for sainthood.

I don't think I could have sat through that speech. I probably would have asked her to step out into the hall and told her to shut up (done professionally, of course) and to stop blaming the students for her shortcomings. I would have warned her that I would slam her on the next evaluation if she talked to them in that manner again.

After all, they are your students. She is simply "borrowing" them.
