Thanks for your help! Right now, I have no way of knowing what specific positions may be open in the fall (the website basically lists that they anticipate openings in many areas, so email "secondaryeducation@....etc.").

I was hoping to keep my initial contact with them fairly casual (granted, our teacher-administrator relationships were relatively casual), and I'm just afraid if I go through the formalities of setting up appointments, that might be considered "strange." I had thought about sending an email saying hi (which is not strange, as we've kept in touch) and that I'd like to do X, so

could you keep me in mind? Or, perhaps asking for advice?

The one I feel strangest about is my old assistant principal, partially because I'm quite embarrassed, and also because I know she was sad when I left but also felt like my heart hadn't been in it as much at the beginning of last year, which is why she advised me to go for the new job (oh, yeah, I only took the new job after sitting in her office weighing the options! She's quite maternal). Also, I wouldn't want her to share this information with other teachers I used to work with (at least not unless I had secured a position).

Am I making sense? :) What do y'all think?
