Urban districts

I'm not one to sugar coat things, but you did this to yourself. You had no idea if you had anything in common with them because you didn't try.
Let me tell you, it's no cakewalk working in affluent areas. I think that it may be just as bad. I guess that what the previous poster said was true. You're going to live the rest of your life in a little bubble. I also wonder if two school districts are as bad as you say they are.
By the way, good luck with getting a job in an affluent area or a private school. Those jobs are few and far between. Most teachers don't leave once they get there. On top of that, when there's an opening there are hundreds of teachers trying to get one position. You may find yourself working in one of "those" school districts.
