I appreciate all the posts. The reason for our pacing guides is to make sure everything has been covered prior to the state testing. The guides won't be law weekly, but they will be quarterly because of short cycle assessments.

The guides will be created by the grade level, subject teachers. I think this is the issue because the teachers don't all teach the same thing at the same time - especially in LA and reading. It will require much compromise.
