Personally I think it was rude of the teacher to request this of you without clarifying that you wouldn't be paid.

If I were you I would call the school or the sub supervisor and just ask why you were not paid for this
day. Mention that the teacher had asked you to go on the field trip because the lesson on the Friday was going to be based on the field trip. And although salary wasn't mentioned you had assumed you would be paid for the time as you had been requested to attend.

I know if a teacher in our school had done something like this and our Principal found out, there would be words spoken to

the teacher and the sub would get paid. Sounds like this teacher wanted to make things easier for her planning by having you come along and is probably counting on you to not ask the administration about it.
