Look at the positive

I agree with the above poster. You need to look at this as a growing experience. I taught for 5 years in an urban district much like the ones you describe. It made me such a strong teacher! I have great discipline because I had to! I learned great strategies because I had to! I worked my tail off every day and loved every minute of it. I would still be there if it weren't for my own children. I wanted to be able to bring them to school with me, and my previous district wasn't the place for them. I still miss my old school and kids. Give it a try! You can learn so much!
