Clip to ScrapBook
I've had great subs and not so great. The last one I had, left my manuals all over the room and the kids papers spread out all over the floor. I think she was trying to put them in stacks, but didn't finish. There were papers
everywhere. I never leave things on my desk, except the concise plans and materials organized from morning to afternoon. She even called the principle the next day and complained about how bad my kids were. She had kids on the list(yes there was an updated seating chart) that have not said boo the whole year. I was shocked. I read my kids the riot act. The kids told me that she
said I didn't leave any plans and that they should tell their parents that I didn't. I always have plans. If I'm sick, I send them in with someone else and call the school to make sure they got them.
I understand the frustration of subs. I subbed for 5 years before I wanted a permanent job. As teachers we should try to make a subs job as easy as possible. Leave good plans, schedules, etc. Thank you to all of you for subbing. We couldn't be sick or attend conferences without you.
