morning work

I have morning work on their desks every morning when they walk in. My students get there at 7:15 (at least it's not 6:50 like trtlgrl ) but school doesn't officially start until 8:00, so I need something to keep them busy! I require my students to unpack quickly and get started on their morning work right away. Most of them finish it, but some students routinely get to school at 7:50ish. Those students usually don't finish by 8:00, so I tell them to work on it whenever they have free time during the morning. I sometimes grade it, but other times I scan through it and "file it" ;)
