for several years I would choose second grade. It is less stressful than first but still lots of fun. First grade is the year of the reader and second grade is the year of the writer. They really do take off in their writing skills. They are still in love with you but much more independent! You need to consider the team you would work with too in each of those positions that would matter to me. You are lucky to get your choice!!! Good Luck!!! :)
