Basically it depends on how long you are in there.
If it is only a short while just get on with teaching the children. If it is for a much longer period obtain a large cardboard box. Bigger the better and place all items
in there. I would not throw anything out.
My room is not always the neatest. Why because we normally have many jobs on the go at one time. I have actually found that those who have the neatest rooms don't teach in a very varied and exciting way. We are always collecting bits and pieces plus I have a huge colllection of teaching materials. Basically not enough hours in every day to

make everything 100% tidy. I don't have food rubbish etc around. i have taught a variey of years and I find theat with the smaller children rooms are messier because you are so busy.
