My favorite By liketeaching1

is first! (Of course I haven't taught anything except K and 1). I love teaching the beginning of so much--especially reading and writing workshop. There is so much growth throughout the year--it's a new adventure all the time. The kids are amazing.

The first year you move to first (if you do) will be your best because you will continue with where you stopped in K. I was so suprised when I could give directions and they could do it so much easier--like let's line up. LOL (That first month of K is a real experience!!!!)
