Either One

Clip to ScrapBook
I have taught 4 years in First and the last year looped to Second with my class and I am still in Second.

I have to say that both grades are wonderful! I loved first because I was able to teach many of them how
to read. Much of the day is teacher directed because they kids are not very independent until later in the year. It is a wonderful age b/c you get to see their faces when the light bulb goes off and they get it.

Second is also great. Students are more independent and are able to work quietly at their desks. They have not quite yet developed "attitudes" and still enjoy coming
to school and learning. For many of them, you are helping them "Read to Learn" instead of "Learning to Read"

Whichever one you choose, you will enjoy it!

Good luck!
