this person played up to parents. At school this teacher in many people's opinions would never be allowed to win an award. This person never participated, helped in any way. I had heard this teacher yell and verbally abuse their students yet nothing was done. I actually posted about this teacher once on PT and was told by several teachers on this site that I was being a tattle tale...Well this teacher is now in prison for molesting students...I'm not trying to start anything, this is just one story. This teacher was good at PR with parents, they would contact and go over to their students home and parents thought it was great.
