award
By Tatum

Clip to ScrapBook
I won a "Superintendent's Best Practice Award" last year. While we studied Native Americans I had the kids make a real teepee outside in the fall. Parents helped out and one of them nominated me for the award. It felt great to be validated and noticed for my efforts. I went to a banquet the following spring with other teachers who won the awards in their districts. It was fun!

Just keep doing what you are doing. I do not think that you should be worrying about winning awards or anything like that!
