My students get a weekly homework packet. By m&mTeach

Their packet consists of a reading log (20 minutes of nightly reading), 5 math sheets (1 for each night) and a response to reading paper (of a book they've read on their own or a book we've read in class together).

I think the homework is more for the parents than for the students. It's a way to let the parents know what we are working on and what is expected from students. Of course, it is most beneficial for students whose parents supervise, help and interact with their children around homework.
