money spent

*i know one year i tallied and spent $1,000.
*now i "spend" less because (don't hate me!!!) i give all receipts for purchases to my principal to be reimbursed (okay, not the M&M's for math or the ice cream for science, and some other trivial things...but most everything!) our PTO gives us $100 for whatever we want, and then we have petty cash funds---i've never been told no, so i just keep turning in my receipts... (also this year we received $250 from our state dept--excess funds, i think? anyway, we got P-cards to spend on ALMOST anything for the classroom--whee!)

save those receipts and send with my husband to the tax guy---he adds it all up and does something with it (some sort of deduction....) and yes, i put in receipts for books i buy for myself! (teacher books)
