I've done it

Clip to ScrapBook
I've worked summer school for several years. It's a great change. When I taught 1st, I did 4th for summer. Now, ?? it's whatever. Anyway. It is the 4 weeks in July, 1/2 day. Mainly trying to push kids that are close to grade
level on up. Not really low ones, and not any behavior issues We focus on reading/writing, but throw in a little math. Each class gets a field trip, but can invite another class along (because of space on bus) so, we usually have 2 trips. We get twice as much money for supplies as we do for our reg. class, during the whole year
get an hour/day plan

a parapro at least 1/2 the day, sometimes full
any non-consum/left over supplies we "store" in our class
I've told the director I would just teach summer school all year LOL I like it.... still have Aug off to revive.
