I did

Clip to ScrapBook
As in any program, you will learn about other things that aren't directly related to literacy but are related to the literacy specialist. There were classes in learning styles, multiple intelligences, and the effective teacher.
I'd had classes on those topics before, but this program goes in-depth and I came away understanding it this time. Before, I hadn't really understood or got such in-depth instruction. As far as the literacy classes, I think that everything was covered completely and in a way that, again, was more possible for real comprehension. Everything, as it's taught, is related back to your
particular situation, and you have the leeway in your assignments to make it meaningful to your classroom. The instructors are very approachable and helpful. I've had to ask a few times how to make an assignment work for Title I (which I teach) and received some great feedback.

Please keep in mind that we have a Title I board, which is for any type of reading specialist or remedial help teacher. It's not a busy board, but several of us check it and we help each other. Good luck in your new position!
