so true - good for you!
By Michelle

Clip to ScrapBook
In my first year of teaching, my internship, one of the boys, boys might you, said, "You have 22 pairs of black shoes!" Maybe, I have five or so... but 22! The students were giving me a hard time, complaining about teachers, and how we're just there for the $$$. I said that my internship didn't pay anything; in fact, I was paying them for the experience. They said, "You don't need money, you have lots." As the conversation went on and on, they mentioned that the 'PAID' teachers dressed in rags and why did I, as a 'UNPAID' teacher dress much nicer. It was then that I realized, clothes really do make the person, especially in school. Kids like to know that teachers dress nicely for them.

GOT TO LOVE THOSE SHOES
