RtI
By dtrabilsy

Clip to ScrapBook
We have been in the process putting RtI in place these past 3 years. We have a long way to go, but I believe we are on the right track.

RtI is a multi-tiered program and when implemented correctly, can be very successful.
All students are tested and those that are struggling are monitored closely at each stage of intervention. Tier 1 is the support in the classroom. If a child is put into Tier 2 then they get more time with someone outside of their regular reading time. Finally if a child needs Tier 3 interventions, they are given more time beyond the Tier 1 and Tier 2 times. The other part of this
is that it is all research-based instruction.

Here are a few good websites to check out. There is a lot more out there. Just google response to intervention.
