I am also surprised

I am also surprised that the saying "darn it" would be a censored phrase. If I made a deal about this, I would have parents and colleagues thinking I lost my marbles. I guess you have to do what is right for you and your classroom, at the same time respect some level of tolerance for harmless slang. You are so right about having our own opinions, but at the same time, this sort of flippant censorship of language does scare me a little bit. Do you feel like these student's are swearing?
