    what I do

    I keep on my clipboard my schedule and my plans. On my schedule I list those things that are the same over and over (morning meeting, calendar skills) with brief explanations for subs. When I do my plans, I only write out plans for:
    A. reading (divided into categories: 1 - Phonemic Awareness; 2 -Sharing Literature (which is shared reading), 3 -Phonics, 4 -High Frequency Words

    B. math (divided into three categories: 1 - Hands on math, 2 - Math workbook, 3 - Math large group activity

    C. thematic study

    D. guided reading groups

    I don't write out writing because I am using Kidwriting which is journal based. Every day I choose individual journals to teach my mini lessons from so I don't know until that day what we are going to focus on.
