subbing with family

I've just started subbing, after 13 years of being home with my kids. It's great for me--I only work the days I want, I have every holiday and summer off, plus no meetings or late nights prepping. When one of my kids' is sick, it's not a problem to stay home. I'm not trained as a teacher, and I'm very impressed with the amount of hours a teacher has to put in to do a quality job--I put in a lot of time just putting stuff together for my subbing bag. Of course, the money isn't as good, but there are trade-offs to be made.
