URMySunshine, unfortunately I think you are right. She even told me during the first five minutes after we were introduced that the last teacher she worked with cried when she left and thanked HER (student teacher) for teaching her soooo much. She seems to be looking at this as more of an opportunity to teach me a thing or two rather than learning from me. There is even a statement in the "Student Teaching Handbook" (supervising teacher's version) from her school that kind of mentioned that the supevising teachers would benefit by learning all of these "fresh" new ideas or something like that. I can't find it in the book right now. True, I could learn from something from her. I'm not opposed to learning. However, she seems almost defiant when I point out little helpful techniques. Just ring the bell twice for crying out loud. They know this means "immediate silence." I did tell you all before that she gave me a job reference form to complete for her didn't I? She has listed me as a reference in at least two counties. I hope they call me. On one of the forms, it asks whether or not I want my remarks to remain confidential. She checked FOR ME before she gave me the form that I waive my rights to confidentiality. I'll have to post tomorrow about the e-mails she has been sending me today. She's trying to cover her tail now and making excuses that make NO SENSE. One line in one email........."I hope you didn't misuderstand the way I taught that lesson.......This was not how I would normally teach a lesson.......Since it was a short day and the start of a three day weekend, I did not see the sense in starting something new with the students." NOTHING WAS NEW. I TOLD HER WHAT TO COVER IN THE LESSON. IT WASN'T A NEW THEME OR UNIT. It was something we had done early, early on in the school year. I told her it was review. She new all of this when she wrote her plans. She knew when she wrote her plans that we would be getting out early, and she knew it was a three day weekend. She just DID NOT follow her plans and did not maintain a quality learning environment. I'm sure I'll have more to say tomorrow. Things just keep popping up in my brain. I think I could write a book just on the last two week's events. Unreal.........
