Flashbacks..I'm reliving a nightmare!

Clip to ScrapBook
I think you must have MY student teacher that just left my room! Thank goodness her placement was just an 8 week one. Everything you've been saying is EXACTLY the same. (Well - except the religious shirt.) Take
a deep breath and believe in the impact that you've already made on your kids. They will survive and so will you. And - you'll never enjoy teaching or your kids as much as when they are finally all yours again! Believe it or not, you'll learn so much throughout this experience. It's important for us to know how to deal with people's inadequacies effectively. You're fine-tuning your leadership
skills. (Look for the silver lining...)

:p Mind you - I'm see this through rose-colored glasses. My horrendous student-teacher is gone, I have my class back, half of our state testing is done, and I'm home on spring break just enjoying being a mom!

Keep venting to us, and don't leave the room very often at all when she's teaching. I had to really keep an eye on the climate and also to monitor the misinformation that was being taught. Keep doing the difficult job of giving her honest feedback and stay in touch with her advisor. Document everything!
