I think there are definitely different teaching styles - and I am NOT one to not have plans ready! I write out plans and make copies several days before needed - that's just me. I get stressed if I have to do something at the last minute. The downside to that is how teachers tend to have to "wing it" when assemblies, fire drills, etc... happen - I have a tougher time handling that than the other teachers (like you).
I guess there is good and bad to each type of teacher! Either is normal in my book.........just different. :p
