student teachers
By MrsM

Clip to ScrapBook
Please don't allow these people to become teachers! HappyHiker, I truly can't believe this woman has the kind of gall she has. She is manipulating everything. It's obvious she thinks teaching is a piece of cake and
will be so simple that she can do a week (maybe) of student teaching and know all she needs to know.

I am a special reading teacher. I have only recently been included in the lunch group with my grade level teachers, and my eyes are being opened. They update each other on news from former student teachers. What I can't believe is that they stated they gave their student teachers passing
grades so they can don't feel bad, but they don't think the student teachers earned them. They tell how nobody should hire them, then get nervous when they hear the same people are interviewing in local schools for jobs. I've heard about lies and unpreparedness, even a little unprofessionalism. Nothing on this lady's scale, though! Still, what I've heard should be enough to keep these people from becoming teachers, yet the teachers covered for them. I guess send them on, and hope they become someone else's problem. I don't want to be that "someone else" that has to deal with incompetent teachers.
