Math Fact Programs
By luvinlife

Clip to ScrapBook
I have used the Mastering Math Facts program, and quite frankly do not like it. It is very, very, very copy intensive and a lot to keep up with. It is a good program, and definitely has merit, but beware of the upkeep that
comes with it.

My school currently uses the Tom Snyder program Fast Math, that an earlier poster referred to. It is EXCELLENT! I have special ed. students mastering facts in no time. The program expects students to be able to see a math fact and type the answer within a very short amount of time (most about 3 seconds I think). The students work at their own pace
and there are lots of extras with the program. You can print a mastered fact grid to send home for the parents to help study, awards certificates, and practice worksheets that are tailor-made for each student. I cannot say enough about this program. I have information regarding our school's success rates at school, with percentages of gain for the entire school from Ausust until now, I can't remember the exact number, but it is astounding. If you would like to have this information, PM me and I will look it up at school tomorrow.
