Monster Game

1.Make a t chart

2.show the first x and first y

3.Have student give second x

4.Based on the first have students try and figure out what y would be

5.Go back to 3.

6.As the students give answers to y if they are wrong begin drawing sections of a monster for each wrong answer.

7.Students can give suggestions for the equation as you go along. If they make a mistake with that go back to 6.

I have played the game with both first and fifth graders and it has been well loved for both grades.
