Rocket Math By Beth/OK

I also use the Otter Creek program. This is our first year to use it. (2nd grade). I really like it. We take tests 4 days a week. I pretested the kids to see how fast they could write. The program has a chart to use

to then assign them how many they need to complete in a minute. So I have some kids with a goal of 24 and some with a goal of 40. I like how they only have 2 new facts to learn on each test. The rest are review of 'old' facts. They also put the 'hard' facts towards the middle of the program so they kids see them for quite a while. We started after Christmas. I have

several kids who have finished addition and many more who are very close. I have noticed a significant increase in their math ability.

I will teach first next year. I plan to use their basic number writing program and then starting rocket math addition after Christmas.
