I have a wonderful assistant!

At our school K and 1st share assitants. They spend half the day in a Kg and then then an hour or so in 1st grade. They also help out in 3-5 if needed and are assigned either cafeteria duty or copy room duty as well. The 5 2nd grade classes share on assistant between them. We have really good assistants at our school. Several of them are fomer teachers and others are working on their degrees.I teach a multiage 1st-2nd grade. Since I teach 2 grades and I have more students than the other K,1 or 2 classes, I have an assistant almost the entire day. I have 22 students.. other classes have 17-20.
My assistant is out of the room from 12:15-1:15 for cafeteria duty.She is fabulous. I could not do a multiage class without her!
