private schools

Clip to ScrapBook
What about trying private schools? I worked at 2 different private schools during my first 10 years of teaching and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!!! The strong emphasis on tesing is not there. Depending on the school it may be religious based, or college prep, but either way the stress of test, test, test was just not there. We followed the state's course of study and showed in our lesson plans where we were teaching SAT skills, but it was nothing like public schools. With your writing skills I wish you would stay in teaching. Students today do not seem to have the skill or desire to really write!!! (And no, texting does not count as writing.) LOL Good luck and let us know what happens.
