No, you aren't being stupid! That is one thing that just really annoys me. I have one mom this year that calls me no fail everyday and it always happens right in the middle of something important. Like last week, we were RIGHT in the middle of state testing and she calls to tell me to take something out of her son's backpack to give to her other son ( in another classroom).
You didn't do anything wrong, this mom was trying to do something nice, but she should of waited until school was over, or at least recess!
