"to finish or not to finish?"
By Nancy

Clip to ScrapBook
If I were you I would finish your Bachelor's work. Depending on whether you are interested in elementary or secondary ed., you have a lot of options once you have a Bachelor's.

I live in Ohio and graduated with a B.A.
in English in 1992. I just recently realized that teaching is my calling and have researched all of my options. There are many, many (I can't emphasize how many) college programs that have tailored programs to people with an existing college degree that would like to go back to school to get teacher certification. Many colleges around here won't even allow current ed. students to receive
their cert. unless they have a Master's degree, so they have developed Master's programs designed for people with any previous undergraduate degree! I am enrolling in a Master's with licensure program that will require 5 quarters of work on a Master's level and I not onlywill I graduate with my teacher's cert/licensure, but will already have my Master's that you're probably going to be required to have once you get your initial certification! You may have to initially take some undergrad. courses that are required for your area of emphasis, but you could probably begin looking into those areas now and add them into to your business admin. coursework (if you have the space).

I wish you luck!!
