I love subbing as a career. If you can handle no sick pay, no benefits, flucuating needs (some months ARE SLOW!), then come join those of us who enjoy the career of subbing! I was a stay at home mom before I started to sub and my husband has descent benefits, so it works out well for me. I know full time teaching isn't for me and if I ever did decide to do it, I would want an "extra" class like art or computers. Those classes don't have as much regular discipline and day to day uniformity that you seem to need in a regular classroom. I have learned my strengths and weaknesses and have decided that subbing fits me just perfectly!
