Is there a difference?

That's surprising to me. I have a friend teaching in North Carolina and being from Pennsylvania he has commented several times on how different the students are down south compared to up north. His comments are contrary to yours. He states that the kids down there are so much more respectful. I have visited some of the schools myself and have made similiar observations. Maybe this difference in opinion is due to the different regions. Good luck to you.
