Come to Illinois
By Terri

Clip to ScrapBook
I have to agree with you. Not every student is the same and not every student can learn in the same enviroment.

I not only sub for special education, but I also have a daughter who is just started into the special education
system. I know she does not learn the same as other students in her class and needs more one on one attention OUTSIDE of class.
It is just common sense.

I would home school before I EVER let my kid be subjected to the kinds of behavior I hear about in this site.

In my part of Illinois, at least, we have segregated the really physically abusive studetns to a special school.

Behaviorial problems (the big problems that can't seem to be resolved) are sent to another school where they work on these problems. The rest of the special education kids ARE filtered into the regular system, but they know what can happen if they don't straighten up.

I know our system is not perfect, but I believe I will never have to put up with the crap others seem to! Good Luck!
